The United States District Court for the Northern District of California expects very soon to open the application period for the position of Magistrate Judge in San Francisco. In an effort to garner applicants from a wide and diverse range of backgrounds, a panel of the District’s magistrate judges will present a seminar on:
• The role of a magistrate judge in the Northern District
• Who is qualified to be a magistrate judge
• The application and selection process
• What makes a successful application
